The 2023 Volkswagen Atlas is an SUV that seats seven and is available in two or three rows. Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Volkswagen Atlas comes with five trim levels: SE, SE with Technology, SEL, SEL R-Line Black, and SEL Premium R-Line. The SE with Technology offers three-zone automatic climate control, Park Distance Control and more. The Atlas SEL includes exciting features such as Dynamic Road Sign Display and a power passenger seat.
Engine (Power)
The 2023 Volkswagen Atlas comes with a standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. VW also offers an optional V-6 engine with 276 horsepower. Both engines come paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and either front- or all-wheel drive.
Performance
The 2023 Volkswagen Atlas is a large SUV with impressive performance capabilities. It can accelerate quickly and offers a smooth performance. The Atlas has excellent handling and braking, making it a great choice for a family SUV. Also, the 2023 Atlas has a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds, regardless of which engine is chosen. This is thanks to a strengthened transmission and an upgraded trailer hitch.
Interior
The interior of the Volkswagen Atlas is designed to be both practical and comfortable. There are cup holders for all passengers and several storage nooks throughout the cabin. The overall design is practical, making it easy to use all available space. In addition, the Atlas has three rows of seats, allowing seven passengers to ride comfortably. All seats can fold down, providing up to 96.8 cubic feet of cargo space. The interior of the Atlas is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to stretch out.
Safety Features
Regarding safety, the latest Volkswagen Atlas is equipped with various advanced features. Its emergency braking feature can automatically apply the brakes if it detects an impending collision. It also features an adaptive cruise control that helps keep you a safe distance from the car in front of you by automatically adjusting your speed. The travel assist can help keep you in your lane and provide gentle steering input to help avoid obstacles. The Atlas lane assist feature comes in handy to help drivers from accidentally drifting out of their lane by providing gentle steering input. Also, the traction control system can help improve traction and stability on slippery or uneven surfaces.
