Engine (Power)
The powertrain of the 2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid combines a 2.5-liter inline-four engine with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor. Using only the gas engine, this Toyota can produce 176 horsepower and 163 pound-feet of torque. On the other hand, the Camry Hybrid generates 118 horsepower and 149 pound-feet of torque when just using the electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack. When working together, the gas engine and electric motor create a total combined system output of 208 horsepower.
