Trim Levels (Exterior)


With the 2023 Gladiator, nine trim levels are available: Sport, Willys Sport, Sport S, Willys, Freedom, Overland, Mojave, Rubicon, and High Altitude. It has round halogen headlights, a boxy profile, sturdy black bumpers, Jeep's seven-slot, body-colored grille, 17-inch wheels, and up to 11.1 inches of ground clearance. You'll also get tinted glass, fog lights, a full-sized spare tire under the truck bed, and a tow hook for the rear bumper. The bed is 56.8 inches wide and 60.3 inches long.

You can add puddle lights, heated, manually folding, auto-dimming side mirrors, a 115-volt power outlet for the truck bed, another tow hook for the rear bumper, removable doors, and a folding windshield. A sunroof, side steps, 33-inch tires, 20-inch wheels, and a convertible top with rollover protection bars are optional as well. You can also add a bed cover or a three-position tailgate.

Engine (Power)


The Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 engine provides 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission. You can also select a heavy-duty, 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 motor. It's turbocharged, and it generates 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. It uses an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Performance


The 3.6-liter motor can tow up to 7,700 pounds and carry up to 1,700 pounds. The 3.0-liter engine can pull up to 6,500 pounds and haul up to 1,200 pounds. The suspension is designed for tough terrain, and the Gladiator can cross streams and creeks up to 31.5 inches deep. This truck gets 16 mpg in traffic and 23 mpg on the highway with the base engine, while the diesel motor can go 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the open road.

Interior


The Gladiator's interior comes with two 12-volt power outlets, a central armrest with a storage compartment, cruise and audio controls for the steering wheel, and folding rear seats. You'll also get a 7-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, voice recognition, SiriusXM satellite radio, and an eight-speaker sound system with speed-sensing volume control. You can add lockable rear-seat storage, heated leather front seats, remote start, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, navigation, and an 8.4-inch touch screen. A universal garage door opener and a nine-speaker, 552-watt Alpine audio system are optional as well.

Safety Features


A variety of safety features protect you and your passengers, including a ParkView rear backup camera, electronic stability control with roll protection, trailer sway control, a security system with an engine immobilizer and a panic button, and hill start assistance. You can add blind-spot monitoring with radar-based sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, and ParkSense rear parking assistance with sonar sensors in the rear bumper. Automatic emergency braking is available as well.
